Affiliate disclosure & honesty policy

Short version: some links on toolko are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I never let that commission decide who wins a review. If a tool I don't like pays better, it still loses. Below is the long version, in plain English and brief Hindi, so you can hold me to it.

ASCI compliance (India)

The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) requires every creator to clearly disclose material connections with brands. Here is how toolko meets that rule on every page:

How toolko actually earns

I earn money in exactly one way: affiliate commissions from the programs listed below. Everything else is explicitly off the table. If any of these change, this page will say so, with a date.

What I accept

What I refuse

Programs I'm part of

Here are every affiliate programs this site participates in, grouped by category. I update this list whenever a new program approves me or I leave one.

Being on this list does not mean the program is actually approved yet - some are pending. It means an affiliate link exists on the site. If a program rejects me, I remove the links.

Referral links vs affiliate links - the difference matters

These are two different things, and most Indian creators mix them up. The honest difference:

Affiliate linkReferral link
Who pays The vendor pays me a share of what you pay them Both sides get a small reward just for signing up
What I'm selling A product you decided you wanted to try The signup, not the product
Risk to you Low - you'd have bought anyway Higher - you may feel pressured to sign up just so I earn a reward
Found on toolko Yes. This is how the site earns. No. Not on this blog.

I personally sometimes send referral links privately to friends on WhatsApp or Telegram. I will never post a signup-bounty referral link in a public review on toolko. If I ever change that rule, this page will update first.

What you'll never see on toolko

  • "Earn Rs X by inviting your friends" schemes.
  • Crypto airdrop farming or wallet connections of any kind.
  • "Backed by Y Combinator" as the only reason to trust a product. (It isn't.)
  • Advice to connect your bank or Gmail to a Telegram bot. Not for any amount of money.
  • Secret WhatsApp group drops where "the real deals" live.
  • Testimonials from accounts that don't exist.

Your rights as a reader

  • You can always buy any tool directly from the vendor without my link - the price is the same.
  • If a review is wrong, mail hello@toolko.in and I'll fix it with a date-stamped correction.
  • If a vendor you bought through my link scams you, tell me - I'll pull the affiliate link that week and warn other readers.

toolko is operated as an independent review publication by toolko, based in India. Commissions are reported as business income on my Indian tax returns. Any disputes are governed by Indian law. No reader information is sold; see the privacy policy for what the site collects (short answer: almost nothing).
